why i became a dj
After becoming a below-knee amputee in 2013, I turned to music to lift my spirits. I decided to follow my passion for DJing & embraced the name DJ Amped—an “Amped Up, Amplified, Amputee!” Sharing the joy of music & making others happy is my greatest privilege at every event I play.

As an amputee, I’ve faced many physical & mental challenges, which have deepened my understanding of how hard life can be. That’s why I’m passionate about giving back to my community, whether through my DJing, operating heavy machinery, or any other skills I can offer. By supporting good causes like Green Connect, Walk 4 Brain Cancer & CONVOY for kids with cancer, I not only help others but also find personal fulfillment in making a positive difference. Roger aka DJamped is the man! he created the most wonderful atmosphere for our staff and volunteer Christmas Party at Green Connect. The music was excellent, creating a fun & welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the Garden at the farm. Roger listened to the brief and ensured that our very diverse team had a wonderful time.
