DJ AMPED AUSTRALIA – EVENT & MOBILE DJ TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Booking Retainer: A non-refundable booking retainer of 50% is required to secure all event dates.

  • Exclusivity: Upon receipt of the retainer, the date is reserved exclusively for the Client. DJ Amped Australia will decline all other inquiries and booking opportunities for that specific time and date.

  • Acceptance: Payment of the retainer constitutes formal acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

  • Quotes: Quotes remain valid for 14 days from the date of issue.

Final Payment

  • Balance Due: The remaining balance must be settled no later than 7 days prior to the event date.

  • Late Payment: Failure to remit the final payment by the due date may result in the immediate cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the retainer.

Date Changes & Postponements
  • Rescheduling: One complimentary date transfer is permitted, subject to availability and management approval.

  • Fees: Subsequent changes may incur a rebooking or administration fee.

  • Discretion: DJ Amped Australia reserves the right to refuse excessive or unreasonable change requests.

  • Credit Validity: All transferred credits must be utilized within 12 months of the original event date.

  • Rate Adjustments: If a rescheduled date falls more than 12 months after the original booking, the package price may be adjusted to reflect current market rates and operating costs.

Cancellation Policy

  • Non-Refundable Retainer: The 50% booking retainer is non-refundable. This fee compensates DJ Amped Australia for administrative costs, consultation time, and the loss of opportunity to book other clients for the reserved date.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date may be liable for 100% of the total booking amount.

  • Goodwill: At its sole discretion, DJ Amped Australia may offer a partial goodwill refund or credit in exceptional circumstances.

Planning, Preparation & Music Requests
  • Scope of Service: The retainer covers all pre-event coordination, including music curation, equipment staging, and consultations.

  • Playlists: While Client playlists and requests are welcomed and encouraged, DJ Amped Australia cannot guarantee the availability or suitability of every specific track requested.

Additional Hours & Equipment
  • Overtime: Requests for additional performance time on the night will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

  • Special Requests: Last-minute additions (lighting, effects, or setup changes) are subject to availability and will incur additional fees.

  • Custom Orders: Fees for special-ordered items or custom add-ons remain payable in full, even in the event of a cancellation.

Equipment & Technical Standards
  • Substitution: DJ Amped Australia reserves the right to substitute equipment with an equivalent alternative in the event of technical failure or damage.

  • Redundancy: Every effort is made to maintain high service standards, including the carriage of backup equipment where feasible.

Venue & Safety Requirements
  • Access & Power: The Client is responsible for ensuring the venue provides safe, reasonable access and stable, dedicated power.

  • Weather Protection: For outdoor events, the Client must provide adequate overhead cover and weather protection for the DJ and all technical equipment.

  • Safety Stop: DJ Amped Australia reserves the right to suspend services if conditions become unsafe for staff, guests, or equipment.

Professional Conduct
  • Zero Tolerance: DJ Amped Australia maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding aggressive, abusive, or illegal behavior. We reserve the right to cease performance and depart the venue if staff are subjected to inappropriate conduct.

  • No Refunds: No refunds will be issued if services are terminated due to the behavior of the Client or their guests.

Force Majeure
  • DJ Amped Australia shall not be held liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergency venue closures.

Pro Tip for NSW Business Owners: Under Australian Consumer Law, “non-refundable” clauses are generally enforceable as long as they represent a “genuine pre-estimate of loss.” Since your retainer covers admin work and “lost opportunity” for a Saturday night, 50% is a very standard and defensible industry figure.
